Abstract

Tooth bleaching has been widely used in Dentistry, and many techniques are proposed for the dentists to use on their patients. The most important to obtain a satisfactory result is the domain of theory and technique by the professional. The market should not define what best applies to the teeth of our patients: a secure protocol is more convincing. Not special lights, or gels that do everything, or days of prolonged use of the tray brings the best result. Our analysis of the tooth structure, time, and the optimal concentration of the gel for home or office use, the correct application of each light with its appropriate gel is which gives to whitening the desired success. This article reviews the main theoretical points of tooth whitening and proposes a new protocol for dental bleaching through a clinical case.
